SCAMADVISER

All it takes is the swipe of a finger. We connect with friends. We buy the latest gadgets and gear. We find out what’s happening in the world. But with that same simple swipe, we cast an increasingly expansive shadow. With each connection, we leave a digital trail that tracks our every move and milestone, our every like and dislike. And it’s not just people. Today, all major cities are networked. Urban infrastructures are monitored and controlled by complex
the game, players take control of Aiden Pearce, a vigilante who can hack into various electronic devices tied to the city's central operating system (CTOS), allowing various methods for the player to solve numerous objectives.[7] The hacking mechanic in the game is performed directly from Aiden's in-game smartphone, which is equipped with multiple applications, namely the "profiler" and the "crime prevention system"; the former allows the player to access information on any citizen in the city, while the latter notifies the player when a crime is likely to occur in the vicinity. The phone is also equipped with applications that interact directly with the environment around the player; for example, players can hack into NPC's phones to retrieve bank data and steal funds as well as unlock new cars, weapons, and in-game music, or they can hack into traffic lights to cause collisions.[8] Players can also receive information on civilians via augmented reality feeds, providing them with information on demographics, health and potential behaviour. Equipment is also provided by smartphone apps, which can be used to summon cars and weaponry. Players can stop trains, raise security barriers, and black out the entire city and can slow down time to shoot.

Luckily, there’s plenty to fiddle with outside the main story, and it’s here where Watch Dogs really shines. There are 100 HotSpots dotted around the city, and checking into each one allows you to collect rewards (like money), and leave gifts for other players. Each HotSpot has a mayor--4Square style--and some hand out special badges. It’s a wonderfully creative way to approach collectables. Elsewhere, the investigation side-stories highlight the more interesting aspects of Watch Dogs’ world. One has you tracking a serial killer, while another tasks you with busting a human trafficking ring. Silly mini-games like Chess, Coin Run, and Poker? Yeah, they’re all here and they’re all perfectly
Hack The City - Watch Dogs takes place in a fully simulated living city where, using your smartphone, you have real-time control over the city’s infrastructure. Trap your enemy in a 30-car pileup by manipulating the traffic lights. Stop a train, and then board it to evade the authorities. Narrowly escape capture by quickly raising a drawbridge. Anything connected to the city’s ctOS can become your weapon.
Street Justice - Living in inner city Chicago where violence is best answered by violence, you have the skills to take the fight to the streets. Take down enemies by delivering devastating blows with your baton, or experience a shoot-out like never before with a physics simulation that rivals anything in the shooter category. Overall, you will have access to more than 30 traditional weapons.
High Octane - With help from Ubisoft Reflections, the acclaimed studio behind the award-winning Driver series, Watch Dogs offers a stable bursting with horsepower. Get behind the wheel of more than 65 vehicles, each with state-of-art physics and handling, and explore the massive city while completing missions.

Ubisoft introduced players to Watch Dogs with an exciting gameplay demo that stole the show at E3 in 2014. Since then, a one-month delay and rumors of a visual downgrade have caused fans' faith in the promising new IP to waver. The final game lies somewhere between the early next-gen hysteria and subsequent skepticism; like most antiheroes, Watch Dogs gives players what they need, but not necessarily everything they want. Watch Dogs follows the exploits of Aiden Pearce, a tech-savvy hacker hell-bent on discovering who was responsible for the death of his niece and making them pay. The story

Sydney's bomb squad was called to the offices of an Australian news website on Wednesday after a PR stunt to promote Ubisoft's Watch Dogs game went wrong.

A reporter called Sydney police to Ninemsn's headquarters about a suspicious package she had been sent.

The package consisted of a black safe, like those found in hotel rooms, which was posted with a blacked-out note telling her to "check her voicemail". She doesn't use voicemail – and when staff attempted to open the safe, it "began to beep".

After calling other newsrooms and finding that none had received similar packages, staff called police. Four police cars and a police rescue unit arrived, evacuated the office, and scanned the package before moving it to the basement for safety and then forcing it open.

Inside they found a copy of Watch Dogs, a new game about hackers taking on a corrupt government in the city of Chicago.
